We continue to be in awe of our Father as we now enter our 2nd month of planting a new FCS group in SE Ulaanbaatar. In the past 30 days, ANOTHER 5 STUDENTS became believers, making it 9 total since Sept. 1st . New non-believing students continue showing up at our outreach events, bringing their friends, and a total of 17 students are now involved in weekly one-to-one investigative Bible studies. And to think that just 2 months ago, we began with 0 students!

Thank you for praying for our Sept. 10 “Outreach Concert”, in which over 200 new non-believers came and heard the good news. Thanks for lifting up our Sept. 13 “FCS2 Picnic”, where our new group of students enjoyed getting to know each other. After a month of outreach to new students, we are now beginning to feel that our group is coming together.

Our most committed FCS2 student is BATKA, a sophomore who before this summer, never heard the good news. Batka is a typical student - he may not be able to pay his tuition this semester (and thus be expelled), never met his true birth father, and has relatives who are strong Buddhists. He joined our summer English camp, and was struck by how different the lives of believers looked. So after the camp, he continued coming to our FCS office, reading Xian pamphlets that he saw lying around, and has come to every FCS activity we’ve had! Tom recently spent some one-on-one time with him, and invited him to church. He came and said, “Something happened to me during the singing. I felt something inside me that I’ve never felt before. Can I come with you again next week?”

Dad has answered our prayers for a new office/STUDENT CENTER for FCS2. We found and purchased an apartment within 50 yards of several student dormitories and within 5 minutes walk of our primary target school, Teacher’s College! (Currently, 70% of our students are from Teacher’s College). We will be doing some minor repairs in the coming months and plan to move on January 1st.

Finally, we give praise for what God is doing in our other FCS group (FCS1). Through FCS1 outreach activities, 100 students have signed up for one-to-one investigative BS! Also, FCS1 attendance at large group meetings meetings have increased from 70 students last semester to about 100 students now. The chapter is now developed enough to also focus on translating Christian books.
