Are you interested in visiting Mongolia? Or just interested in hearing what the language sounds like? Then check out some MP3s of survival Mongolian phrases!
These files were recorded by a native Mongolian speaker, with English first followed by the Mongolian translation, and covers some of the basic phrases you’ll want to know. They were prepared and used by the GrX Mongolia team to prepare for their recent trip.
Combined with a basic Mongolian phrasebook, you’ll be ready to make a great first impression on the Mongolians you come in contact with. (Or at least not a terrible one! :D)

Sain bainuu! As you’ve probably noticed, Tom and Nancy’s website has gotten quite a makeover. Don’t worry, it’s all the same content, presented in a nicer, cleaner format.
This page being technically a blog, you can now leave your own comments, questions, etc. and I’m sure Tom and Nancy will check in from time to time (hint hint). Plus, the navigation is a lot cleaner now, and it also makes my life a lot easier in terms of posting updates and overall site maintenence.
Everything is still here, slowly being migrated to the new system.
Plus if Tom and Nancy ever decide to embrace blogging themselves, the infrastructure is already there… ![]()
Enjoy!
