Tom Lin

As we approach the end of 2006, the Lin family is experiencing closure to many things in our lives - including Tom’s physical therapy (he can walk again!), our re-entry into the States, and the completion of our most significant family event (Olivia’s birth). After spending the past few months reflecting on our time in Mongolia and looking backwards at God’s work in our lives, we are now looking forward to applying those lessons learned and preparing for our next season of ministry in the Midwest. Check out Olivia’s birth and her first few weeks of life (she looks much better than sleep-deprived mom and dad). While Nancy has enjoyed nursing Olivia, Tom has enjoyed time with Abby, taking her to museums, the zoo, and playgroups. *YEAR-END PRAYER REQUESTS:

On Dec. 31st, Tom will travel to St. Louis for 24 hours, to speak for 5 minutes at the plenary session of the Urbana 2006 Missions Convention (http://www.urbana.org). Although Tom has spoken to large audiences before, speaking to over 23,000 students will definitely be his largest ever! Please pray for Tom’s ability to connect, inspire, and challenge students in their final day at Urbana.
Pray for the rest of Urbana (December 27-31). Ask that God raise up thousands of missionaries through this Urbana convention.
Pray for baby Olivia’s continued good health and growth, and for our transition as parents into life as a family of four!
Continue praying for our Sabbatical goals of physical rest, spiritual renewal and study. In January, Nancy hopes to re-join her BSF class, and Tom begins another quarter of classes with Fuller Seminary.
