We celebrated Olivia’s 1st bday in Chicago with a traditional Korean party, complete with a Korean dress for Olivia and special Korean rice cake desserts! Check out photos on our Flickr site.  One of the highlights was a traditional ceremony where Olivia selects 1 object among 4 which are symbolic — a Bible (missionary career), noodles (long life), rice (prosperity and wealth), and pen (good student). Each represents what will become of her future… And she picked the RICE!
