Visiting Mongolian Families in the Countryside

During one of our Mongolia language lessons, we visited Mongolian families to get a first-hand look at how countryside folks live. This area was called, "Shovoo Fabric", located less than 30 miles from Ulaanbaatar. We would meet people in the field, and they would warmly welcome us in to their homes and offer us salty milk tea and snacks to eat. We saw little gardens and even greenhouses where they grew personal vegetables, and met several herders. We also had the chance to herd some sheep as well! (see pics)
