First Visit to the States

After 18 months in Mongolia, our first visit to the States was very full, but a real encouragement. As you’ll see in the pics, we started in BOSTON (Dec. 19-23), where we met up with our prayer partners, preached/shared at BCEC, CBCGB, and CCFC, and were delighted to make it to Mark (Nancy’s former student) and Millie’s (Tom’s former student) wedding. Then we moved on to the Urbana M Conference, where we met many former colleagues, taught 2 seminars each, and did some recruiting.

The following week was spent in Chicago with Nancy’s family and Tom’s dad. We also hosted the Park family, our former colleagues in Mongolia who were visiting Chicago. Then we moved on to San Francisco and LA (Jan. 10-24), where we met up with Tom’s brother, Bay Area prayer partners, and preached/shared at Wellspring Church, Christian Laymen Church, and Home of Christ-Cupertino. Finally, we wrapped up our visit by going back to Chicago for 2 days before heading to Mongolia. A highlight was Tom being asked to preach at the Taiwanese Church which he attended as a child.
